Easy Potato Soup
 
 
16 ounce frozen hash brown potatoes or more
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 to 1 cup chopped celery
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can ready to serve chicken broth
2 cups water
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of celery soup
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
2 cups milk
 
Combine potatoes, onion, celery broth, and water in a large pot; bring to a boil over high heat.  Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes.  Stir in soups and milk; heat through.  Garnish if desired with shredded cheddar cheese, diced ham, or bacon.  Can add peppercorns, ground bay leaves, butter, salt and pepper to taste.
