Pine Nut or Sesame Cookies
 
 
1 cup soft shortening  
3 egg (separated)
1/2 cup of pine nuts or sesame seeds
1/2 cup Brown sugar  
2 cups flour
Pinch of salt
 
Cream together the shortening and brown sugar.  Add the egg yolks and mix well before adding the flour and a pinch of salt.  Shape dough into small, round cakes on cookie sheets.  Lightly brush with egg whites and top with pine nuts or sesame seeds.  Bake at 350 degrees until the cookies are golden brown.  Watch carefully - they burn easily.
