Braciola (Steak Rolls) |
|
2 pound round steak (Thin sliced and tenderized) |
2 cloves of garlic (peeled and crushed) |
2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning |
6 tablespoons of olive oil |
Salt and pepper to taste |
|
Mix 4 tablespoons of olive oil with the crushed garlic and Italian seasoning. Cut the steak into pieces 3 or 4 inches wide and eight inches long. Brush the garlic mixture on one side of each piece of steak. Roll each piece into a tight roll, and tie with cotton twine at both ends of the roll. Heat the remaining olive oil in a heavy pan or skillet, brown the steak rolls, drain, and simmer in your spaghetti sauce for 1 1/2 hours, or until done. Serve instead of meatballs with your favorite pasta. |
